Chrysanthemum Flower Show - Part 1
I was writing the post of forcing hyacinth bulbs when Annual chrysanthemum show 2009 came up. Flower shows are just enchanting and if mums are there then it becomes impossible to ignore them. This year the event was held at Race course jelani park Lahore. Organized by Pakistan horticulture society, many participants showed with some beautiful mums i have ever seen. Many types including Irregular incurve, reflex, regular incurve, decorative, pompoms, anemone, single/semi double etc. were displayed. Show will continue till December 10, 2009. So here they go:

Mums are so beautiful and I am always pleasantly surprised at how many different shapes and colors they come in. Thank you for showing us some beautiful specimens.

These are absolutely beautiful...Mums are so ubiquitous here in the US but one almost never sees the large-flowered and more unusually shaped varieties.

these are really pretty! I like the one sort of in the middle with the pinkish/pale pinkish petals.

Who could resist their charms! Thank you for sharing these beauties with us. I especially like the ones formed to make your flag! What wonderful colors. We stumbled upon a mum show a couple of months ago at an arboretum we were visiting. The weather was very cold and the mums were indoor, some in vases or arrangement and some were bonsai! Very lovely and photogenic, and you have shown us! :-)

Woohoo. So many chrysanthemums, it is indeed a feast for my eyes. I like chrysanthemum tea. I can even smell the scent of this lovely mums from my desktop. Great job, Muhammad!
amazing chrysanths and garden mums - I love the way you have captured the wildlife on the flowers. Now that I am mastering the skills of the camera I can't wait to do that too - only there is not much wildlife about. I was taking a photo today as its nice and frosty here and felt something on top of my hat and realised that I had a robin perched on it - once I discovered so did he!
